The company is a subsidiary of Paris-based SUEZ. Suez Water Technologies & Solutions has an opening for an Applications Engineer in Business Unit Purification and Disinfection based in Leonia, NJ. The primary responsibility of the Applications Engineer is to provide efficient and professional technical and commercial support to internal and external customers. Meeting this objective will require strong technical skills along with an overall understanding of industrial and municipal environments to evaluate customers needs, collaborate with consulting engineers, prepare proposals and participate in the process of selling the company's products and solutions. Required Skills Develop technical understanding of the Suez's products and application knowledge Evaluate and respond in a timely manner to internal and external customer inquiries (technical requests, product availability, pricing, etc.) by reviewing specifications, drawings and other documents to prepare budgets, bids or proposals. Size and select equipment for customer's water/wastewater treatment needs. Prepare preliminary equipment designs including P&ID's and equipment layouts. Work with technical teams as required. Prepare detailed budget proposals and/or contract proposals/bids by gathering details and compiling data to estimate all engineering and production costs according to customer specifications. Prepare estimates with thesupport of thePurchasing department as follows: Prepare sales level equipment specifications and data, and collaborate with the pocurement departement to develop material costs of a project. Determine material, assembly and commissioning estimates utilizing quotations, vendor contact, catalogs, cost standards and historical data. Determine freight cost to the jobsite from the expected fabrication or ex-works location Work in conjunction with the Supply Chain Project Manager to determine the best cost solution for the Company's products Establish and maintain files and records on costs of equipment, products and components. Develop and maintain files and records of specifications and cost standards of equipment, products and components. Prepare documentation and participate in contract kickoff meetings to transfer projects to execution group. Must be a flexible and adaptable team player with good communication skills, and must have the organizational skills to manage several projects at one time Maintain and enhance technical skills by involvement in trade publications and industry groups. Develop and maintain familiarity with current and expected market conditions Maintain skills for utilization of Company software, such as: Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and SAP. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
