SUEZ Montreal manufactures industrial control equipments, used mostly in water treatment plants. Our control panels use many brands of PLCs and we also produce switching power supplies converting up to 2MW of power. These power supplies are used to supply ozone generators in the water treatment process.
The Field Service Engineer or Technician's duties consist in performing post-installation checkouts of Power Supply Units and Control System Panels as well as execute start-up and training of said equipment.The candidatre will routinely be called to execute on-site and remote troubleshooting of said equipment.
Primary tasks and responsibilities
Execute electrical check-outs, commissioning and start-up of ozone and UV equipment and systems
Provide post-commissioning and post-start-up training of ozone and UV equipment and systems
Provide remote and on-site services (troubleshoot, repair, resolve, etc.)
Write commissioning and field service reports and test reports
Provide clear instruction for post-commissioning and post-start-up documentation updates
Follow the highest standards of Safety; Stay up-to-date with SUEZ health and safety policies and other safety qualifications
Shop testing of ozone and UV equipment and systems
Write and update commissioning books for both standard and custom equipment
Travel is expected to be 60% of the time
Required Skills
Degree in Electricity, Electronics and Automation & Controls
At least five (5) years experience in commissioning electrical, automation & controls equipment
Within the same five (5) years, experience in providing end-user/client training
Working knowledge and experiences with panel wiring diagram & process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
Must have hands-on work experience in troubleshooting Allen Bradley, Schneider Electric, GE Fanuc & SIEMENS PLC hardware & software
Excellent oral and written communication skills both in French and English
Strong office computer skills: WORD, EXCEL, Power Point, others
Work well independently and in a team environment, self-motivated, result driven
Ability and availability to travel extensively
Working knowledge of variable frequency drives (principles, parameters, etc.)
Water treatment control system design/engineering experiences a plus.
Strong SAFETY background

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
